Wellington-Napier-Wellington: In Photos

Wellington to Napier is over 300 kms which takes a 4 hour drive or approx. 6 hour bus ride (via Palmerston North) through the spectacular farms, mountains, sea, rivers and hidden beauty of Kapiti Coast, Palmerston North and Hawke’s Bay. I took the bus ride since it gives me a chance to sit back and dive in the scenery around (that’s how writing happens). Thanks to Intercity for great weekend rides.

Though this was my second trip to Napier, it was as delightful and refreshing as the first one (in fact, a bit more). The warmth of Hawke’s Bay sun and the magical sea leaves you no option than to rise in love with this region of New Zealand. The bus ride includes over half an hour of stop in Palmerston North and is good enough for a quick lunch or coffee break. As previously mentioned in my Palmerston North blog post, Cafe Verdict is pretty close to the bus stop and serves delicious chocolate cake slices and shakes.

Here are some of the photos taken from the 3-day weekend trip from Wellington-Napier-Wellington.
